Antiques with coast of Iceland: places and opportunities |

Stew - Icelandic coastal culture as a base for tourism in the future |
Sigurbjörg Árnadóttir at Bjálkanum Ltd and Radgjevningsfirmaet 'Laura' took together in 2004 for the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Administration and Húsfriðunarnefnd state. Here you can find suggestions for mapping the possibilities of using the coastal culture in the development of quality tourism and what could be done to establish a systematic development of tourism based on the coastal culture of Iceland. The main findings are that Iceland has a lot of strength but obscure and little-recognized coastal culture, the Icelandic coastal culture is the foundation of Icelandic history and self identity, and that the coastal culture has the power to develop the quality tourism.
