There are no translations available.

Árið 1928 voru flestir Eyjabátar á sjó þegar skall á vonskuveður með mikilli fannkomu og dimmviðri. Undir kvöld var komið fárviðri. Voru bátarnir að tínast inn fram eftir kvöldinu, en mörgum gekk illa að ná landi, bæði vegna veðurhæðar og - ekki síður - dimmviðris. Einn þessara báta var Vb. Sigríður VE 240, 12 lesta bátur, með 30 ha. Alfavél. Árni í Eyjum skráði frásögnina sem birtist í blaðinu Bliki árið 1965.
